The Palmer House and Roper House on East Battery, Charleston SC, alike my Gone with the Wind fanfiction

In my Gone with the Wind fanfiction The Robillard boutique, Duncan Vayton buys for him, his mother Cathleen and sister Melina, a gorgeous house with southern piazzas, the "Magnolias Mansion", settled on 5 East Battery, in Charleston, South Carolina.

For describing it, I used the pictures of the real "Palmer House", a bed & breakfast settled at the same address, at the Battery in Charleston.

I made some changes though to its nowadays look, and added the piazza on the first floor, as well as the entrance door on the porch, leading, accordingly to the real Charlestonian architectural type.

Right beside of it, at 7 East Battery, stand the house of Rhett Butler and his mother: actually The famous Roper House at the same address.

Voici la maison de Duncan Vayton telle que je l'ai imaginée dans ma fanfiction d'Autant en Emporte le Vent. Ou plutôt celle, réelle, dont je me suis inspirée : la maison rose située au 5 East Battery, à Charleston.

Pour décrire la splendide maison située à Charleston, sur la Battery, que Duncan Vayton a acheté pour lui, sa mère Cathleen et sa soeur Melina, j'ai utilisé le modèle d'une célèbre maison de Charleston, réellement située au 5 East Battery, un Bed & Breakfast, appelé la "Palmer House".

Dans mon roman, j'ai "rétabli" l'architecture traditionnelle de Charleston par une piazza au rez-de-chaussée et la porte d'entrée donnant sur le porche. J'ai rajouté des volets peints en "vert de Charleston".
